Pregnancy Update: 28 Weeks

Fetal Development

By this week, the baby weighs two & a quarter pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of the head to the heels. He can blink his eyes which is now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. Other impressive new talents being added to your baby’s roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking & perhaps most important, better breathing. He’s also developing billions of neurons in his brain & adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. (more…)

Getting Technical

If you’re like me who works & also stores personal files (especially photos) in laptop, you’ll probably learned about to be more conscious with laptop memory.

To tell you honestly, I’m not really a computer-savvy person & checking its technical aspects in the first place when purchasing one was not my thing before. But now, that my work depends here & my personal files are (more…)

Jon & Kate Plus 8

I’m nearly approaching my third trimester in this second pregnancy. Excitement just grew bigger & bigger as my month due – September is just around the corner. Although with this excitement, my hubby knew how anxious I am of having a new baby without a nanny/babysitter. It’s just me & him. For sure my parents-in-law support will always be in the corner but this second baby is far different when I had Yoanna.

Before I had Yoanna, I already have a nanny for her. It’s just a 30-days leave from work to give birth & spent some full days with her. After that, back in the city & work.

Now I am one of the so-called “full-time-mothers”, I learned & realized what a tough job that is. I really do admire those other mothers out there who are having so many kids & yet they were good at it. (more…)

One of my Dreams

I just love browsing home décor magazines & TV shows whenever I have my free time. I’m so dreaming to have such a gorgeous house with impressive home lighting. Since childhood it’s been a part of my dream to have a house that will reflect my personality (or my family’s lifestyle).

Yoanna's Nausea & Vomiting

Last Saturday – June 21, 2008, we brought Yoanna in the hospital because it’s been 5 days that she’sYoanna\'s First ER Experience due to Nausea & Vomiting suffering in diarrhea.

It started that Tuesday – Jun 17, when she came home from school with runny nose & slight fever. So, I gave her small dosage of Tylenol (for kids), then her temperature went down. She attended her school again the next day -Wednesday, the same thing happened she went home with slight fever. Again, I gave her Tylenol. Thursday, I observed that she’s not really in the mood although she wants to go to school. I thought it must have been the running nose. Besides I don’t want her missed the fun since (more…)

Pregnancy Update: 27 Weeks

Fetal Development

Congratulations, you’re now in the first week of the third trimester! The baby looks similar to what he or she will look like at birth, except thinner & smaller. The lungs, liver & immune system still need to fully mature, but if born now, the baby would have a very good chance of surviving.

This week the baby weighs almost 2 pounds & is about 14.5 inches long with legs extended. The baby is sleeping & waking at regular intervals, opening & closing eyes & even sucking his/her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, the baby’s brain (more…)

A Healthy Yearly Activity

The recent weekend I experienced the 1010F temperature here in Prescott, Arizona. Although I was in the Middle East for two years & this kind of temperature is not unusual there, but then this year’s approaching-to-summer is quite hard for me because of my pregnancy.

Well, just for your information this temperature level is not yet really “summer” here in the valley. According to my husband, we’re just in the stage of approaching summer. In days like this, I remember my summer getaways when I was still single. My friends used to organized summer parties & invite friends from city. It’s a fun out-of-town big party for us.

Boston Celtics Crushed L.A. Lakers!

Speculations that Boston will end NBA finals tonight because they’re in home court, but they’ve done more than that!

Finals indeed ended tonight & left a remarkable mark in the history of NBA. Scores were Boston 131 vs. Lakers 92. It was a shocking 39 points difference. Within the game Boston totally crushed Lakers in more than 40 points difference.

It seems that Kobe’s performance in Game 4 last Sunday was really far in tonight’s game. Boston showed a different energy that only proves that they deserve this season’s championship.
