It’s not really in my today’s itinerary to write about this article from Malu Fernandez. As what she previously did in a controversial write-up about OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers), I didn’t find time to react & create a post on such issue. Maybe, I really didn’t consider it something to blog about & have it stayed in the net for such a long period of time.Today my agenda was to publish this post about Bryanboy. It has been in my “things-to-do” list for quite sometime, since I got the news last

weekend when I was in Las Vegas. So, I visited Bryanboy’s site to grab some photo, as I planned to attach it with the very controversial & very expensive Marc Jacob’s “Ostrich Bag”. As the net browser completely viewed his blog, his recent post “MALU FERNANDEZ FINDS BLOGGING IS A SLACKER JOB” waved my eyebrow high. I need to massage my forehead in a while just to relax my properly -shaped eyebrows!

Honestly people, this is my first time to read an entire article from Malu Fernandez & in fairness to her, she’s really such a well-experienced journalist. I have to admit that I agree on some points she mentioned there, about people who place vicious comments & yet sign their messages as “anonymous”. This blog has not been really that quite long but I experienced a lot of hate comments & in “anonymous” sender. Well, that’s the very classic – “not all people are in the same side of opinion”. Inspite of this, I am still motivated to work on this blog especially when I am posting something about my 1st & 5th category, as I am receiving a lot of emails & comments from people who consider it a great help.

Going back to Malu Fernandez, I really need to collect my reaction or I may say my opinion as I finished reading the entire article. As it really hit me!

Slacker, as per definition in Encarta dictionary – 1.) somebody who shirks or avoids doing something, especially work or military service; 2.) an offensive term for a young educated person who is regarded as being disaffected or apathetic, and underachieving (slang).

At first I thought she’s a smart writer/woman but reading this line from her work & emphasizing “AS FOR ME”, my first impression didn’t even last before I end up reading such write-up. It’s just made me realize on how she sees things in a very tiny “picture” and worst is using a certain term that can only explain a very whinny-tiny part of the entire blogging world.

Oh yeah, blogging is a pastime for lonely people to connect. I’ve seen some bloggers who finds blogging as to ease their pain & heartaches but those are very few! Even incorporating the term SLACKER on blogging is such a ridiculous definition!

As for me, I started blogging as I knew that in my first few years as MRS to a military man I have to rest for a while on being part of the corporate world. As it also affects some on the family’s top priorities, then that’s when I discovered & totally embraced the beauty of blogging. It’s not just a medium of sharing something that I find beneficial for others but also it gives me an opportunity to earn.

I am certainly NOT avoiding to do something productive! I am in a situation to set certain priorities in life & devoting my few hours in the afternoon in social networking & earning thru my marketing skills. Instead of taking a long afternoon nap which will just add up more fats in my body! I am also NOT considering myself as a young educated person who is regarded as underachieving, but I am happily blogging & getting used my product review skills to earn some bucks.

I find it another careless statement from the writer – Malu Fernandez, and realized that it’s another mean for massive attention. Like what Bryanboy said, “Attention is addictive”.
